Los gabinetes atornillados de la serie EXBLT son para uso en ubicaciones que son peligrosas y corrosivas, húmedas o con manguera, polvorientas o sucias, en condiciones ambientales severas de calor o frío.

La serie EXBLT está certificada por UL/CSA para Clase I Grupos BCD, Clase I Zona 1 y 2 IIB+H2, Clase II Grupos EFG, Clase III, Tipo 4 y 4X.

Las cajas EXBLT están hechas de aluminio fundido sin cobre, con un contenido de cobre inferior a 4/10 del 1%.

Las cubiertas de los EXBLT están hechas de placa de aluminio 6061-T6, que también contiene menos de 4/10 del 1 % de contenido de cobre. Los gabinetes se suministran de manera estándar con una junta tórica de nitrilo (BUNA-N) y orejetas de montaje dúctiles. Las cajas tienen protuberancias de montaje internas pretaladradas para bandejas de montaje instaladas en fábrica o en campo.
